تقوم وزارة الاتصالات و تكنولوجيا المعلومات بالتعاون مع وزارات التربية والتعليم و التعليم العالي و الدولة للبحث العلمي، و الدولة للتنمية الإدارية و هيئة اليونسكو ممثلا لمؤسسة الــ ECDL/ICDL في جمهورية مصر العربية بتنفيذ برنامج الرخصة الدولية لقيادة الكمبيوتر و الذي بمقتضاه يحصل مليون متقدم على الرخصة خلال الخمس سنوات القادمة. وذلك لطلبة المدارس و المدرسين و الإداريين بالمدارس و طلبة الجامعات و أعضاء هيئة التدريس و الإداريين بالجامعات المصرية و العاملين بالحكومة و القطاع العام، و كذا شباب الخريجين من حملة المؤهلات المتوسطة و فوق المتوسطة و العليا.

و تشارك وزارات الاتصالات و تكنولوجيا المعلومات، و التربية و التعليم، و التعليم العالي و الدولة للبحث العلمي، و الدولة للتنمية الإدارية في الإشراف على المشروع الذي يهدف إلى تنمية المهارات لأساسيات تكنولوجيا المعلومات و ضمان جودة هذه المهارات.

الرخصة الدولية لقيادة الكمبيوتر:

الرخصة الدولية لقيادة الكمبيوتر هى رخصة دولية معترف بها في جميع دول العالم، حيث أن أكثر من 144 دولة تستخدمها لضمان جودة مستخدمي تكنولوجيا المعلومات في أداء الأعمال و قد أصبحت شرطا أساسيا في مختلف دول العالم في أوروبا و أسيا و الأمريكيتين لاستكمال مراحل التعليم المختلفة و الترقي في الوظائف و الحصول على منح دراسية و أيضا للتوظيف.

وقد قامت وزارة الاتصالات و تكنولوجيا المعلومات ممثلة للحكومة المصرية بشراء نظام الاختبارات من مؤسسة ECDL / ICDL لتوفيره لكافة فئات المجتمع و خاصة لطلبة المدارس و الجامعات و العاملين بالحكومة و العاملين بالوزارات.

BCS Unit E Unit E is an additional module of IT Desktop Application training added to ECDL/ICDL curriculum within the UK by the British Computer Society (BCS) to bring the ECDL/ICDL syllabus into line with the UK Level 1 and Level 2 National Qualification Framework (NQF). It provides IT training outside of the ECDL/ICDL curriculum which is not required learning outside of the Second Level school system of the United Kingdom.
